Repeat until fade

I've never tried this one out, so attempt with care.

Pick a well-known joke. "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side." Better yet, instead of a joke, just pick some event or news of the day.

Repeat the same joke/news to your friend every half an hour. "Hey, did I tell you this..."
